Criminal Defense Attorney Rob LaherRobert Sneed "Rob" Laher has devoted his career to representing people accused of crimes in both state and federal court in Mississippi and Tennessee. In doing so, he has accumulated a great many hours in the courtroom, trying cases to juries on every type of charge, from DUI to capital murder. His skills have brought success in many cases that many thought were unwinnable. In addition to numerous awards received for his law school performance, Rob is also a graduate of the National Criminal Defense College in Macon, Georgia, a specialized college devoted entirely to training and educating various seminars dealing with criminal law and trial practice. He remains committed to both furthering his knowledge and trial skills, as well as sharing what he as learned with other attorneys. After graduating from Mississippi State University, where he served as an Orientation Leader and Roadrunner, Rob entered law school at the University of Mississippi. Along the way to graduating second in his class, he clerked for several local criminal defense attorneys as well as the United States Attorney's Office. After graduating cum laude in 1996, he spent one year serving as a law clerk to a federal judge. Thereafter, he began his career as a criminal defense attorney, defending citizens accused of crimes in Mississippi as well as Tennessee, Oklahoma, Alabama, and Texas. Rob is married to the former Allison Russell of Fulton. Allison is a paralegal with a degree from Long Island University in New York, New York. She is a vital part of the defense team, assisting in all aspects of trial preparation, as well as, serving as office manager. She and Rob have four children. Rob's devotion to both his family and his clients leaves little time for other pursuits. When he gets the chance, he enjoys running, swimming, biking, and triathlons.
