The verdict of "Not Guilty" was obtained on all counts despite the presence of three codefendants, all of whom testified against the defendant. 2. State of Mississippi v. Jimmy Commer: a 2001 acquittal of a man charged with the capital murder of a 3-year old boy due to SBS (shaken-baby-syndrome). The jury returned a verdict of "Not Guilty" despite the presence of seven expert witnesses, all of whom testified for the prosecution. 3. State of Mississippi v. Jolee Glenn: a 2000 acquittal of a mother charged with the manslaughter death of her young daughter by carbon monoxide poisoning. |
