• Mississippi: Conviction for a first offense can bring a $250-$1000 fine and up to 48 hours in jail. Conviction for a second offense means a $600-$1500 fine and from five days to one year in jail.
• Tennessee: Conviction for a first offense means at least a $350 fine and 48 hours in jail. Conviction for a second offense means at least a $600 fine and from 5 days to a jail sentence of 45 days.
